Unaudited Financial Statements & Directors’ Report Singapore
SBS prepares year-end unaudited financial statements for Singapore companies from completed accounting records, including the directors’ statement/report and the core financial statements and notes required for the agreed reporting scope.
For lower-volume, straightforward work. SBS’s published range is S$200–S$800 for up to 500 transactions; final fee depends on volume, structure and reporting complexity.
What Is Included in the Financial Statement Preparation Scope
The exact disclosure set depends on the company’s circumstances and records. SBS first reviews the completed accounts and then confirms the reporting scope before preparation begins.
Core Financial Statements
- Statement of financial position
- Statement of comprehensive income
- Statement of changes in equity
- Statement of cash flows where required by the reporting set
Directors & Disclosures
- Directors’ statement / directors’ report as applicable
- Accounting policies
- Notes to the financial statements
- Comparative figures and relevant disclosures based on available records
Year-End Coordination
- Review of completed trial balance and schedules
- Clarification of missing or unusual balances
- Separate XBRL preparation where required and engaged
- Handover into separately scoped corporate tax filing if requested
For Companies With Accounts Ready but Year-End Statements Still Outstanding
This service is most efficient when bookkeeping and year-end accounting are substantially complete. If the accounts are incomplete, SBS can separately assess the accounting work required before the financial statements are compiled.

Common Questions
Is an unaudited financial statement the same as an audit?+
No. Preparation or compilation of unaudited financial statements does not provide an audit opinion or audit assurance. If a statutory audit is required, that is a separate engagement with an auditor.
Do I need to provide completed accounts first?+
Usually yes. Reliable financial statements need a completed accounting base. If the records are incomplete, SBS can assess and quote the accounting clean-up or catch-up work separately.
Does the scope include a directors’ report?+
The year-end reporting set can include the relevant directors’ statement/report and financial statement disclosures based on the company’s circumstances and the agreed scope.
Can SBS also handle corporate tax filing?+
Yes. Corporate tax filing can be quoted together or separately. Tax computation, ECI and Form C-S / Form C work should be expressly included in the engagement scope.
Is XBRL included?+
No. XBRL is a separate filing/preparation service unless specifically included in the quotation. Whether XBRL is required depends on the company’s filing circumstances.
How much does it cost?+
SBS’s published guideline for directors’ report / unaudited financial statement preparation ranges from S$200 to S$800 for up to 500 transactions, excluding GST. More complex structures or larger volumes are quoted separately.
